These words were spoken by President John F. Kennedy at his Inaugural Address in 1961. While the bulk of that speech has passed from memory, this quote has endured in the public imagination. That's because it so perfectly puts into words the way that many of us feel. Our country doesn't only exist to meet our needs. We also exist to meet the needs of our fellow citizens.

As we memorialize them, we have a chance to do the same. Though we will certainly express our emotions as we grieve their passing, we will also choose to lay them to rest in a fashion that transcends mere emotion. A stirring patriotic urn can do just that.  

Honoring Our Soldiers

Honoring those who fought and those who died to protect our freedoms is an important ideal for patriotic Americans. Attending veterans' events, chatting with aging veterans about their experiences, supporting veterans as they transition home from a deployment, tending to gravesites of fallen veterans, educating our children about veterans' issues, and comforting the families of those who lost loved ones in military service are all various ways to honor our veterans.  

Whether your loved one was a military veteran themselves or simply enjoyed honoring veterans during their lifetime, a striking patriotic urn is a good way to carry that honor over to the other side. 

Grief and Remembrance 

Whether your loved one literally gave their life for our country or just lived as if they would gladly have done so if required, they deserve to be honored in a way that respects the values they most held dear.
