Your Wings Were Ready Urns
This collection is for families whose loved ones left before anyone was ready, whether taken in the middle of making plans or after an illness the family had half watched coming. These aluminum urns, available in painted finishes or hand-applied enamel with silver bands, carry a single engraved line across the face, saying the person was ready to go and the people who loved them were not.
We offer two-tone engraving of names and dates as an option for each piece. Available in full-size or sharing sizes, so a family can choose one piece or several.
The sentiment behind these urns addresses the reality of a life interrupted. It recognizes that there are often two different timetables at play during a sudden loss: the person's had come to its end, and the family's had not.
It is a quiet acknowledgment for the family who was still setting out an extra cup, or who was caught in the middle of making plans when the news arrived. This collection is for those who find their daily lives still arranged around a person who left before the world was prepared for the absence.
The line serves as a gentle way to frame a departure. By using the image of wings, the design acknowledges the act of leaving without making claims about where the person has gone. It does not argue that the timing was fair, but instead grants the departed a sense of readiness that the living may not yet feel.
For a young parent, a sibling, or someone with years of unfulfilled plans still sitting in a drawer, this line suits a death that came too soon, and it admits the family was not ready.
Each piece is crafted from aluminum, available in a range of painted colors or in a hand-applied enamel finish with hand-detailed silver bands. These urns come in two sizes to meet different needs: a full-size version intended to hold the entire remains of an adult, and a sharing size meant to hold a portion of the remains so that more than one person may keep a piece of them close.
To make the memorial more personal, we can engrave a name and dates directly into the surface. The name and dates are cut in two-tone lettering, beside the line.
If the person you are remembering fought hard, or had years of plans still in a drawer, then this design will read as theirs. Anyone who kept a chair free for them will recognize in these words the acknowledgment that while they were ready to go, those left behind were not. The family chooses this design because the person left before they could get used to the idea, and the house is still arranged around them.
You might picture them in their usual chair, with a cup still waiting on the table.

Which size do I need?
Holds all of an adult's remains, the same full-size memorial a funeral home provides. Choosing one urn for one person? This is the one.
Holds a meaningful portion of the remains, measured in cups, not all of them. Choose this when dividing ashes between households, or keeping some close after scattering the rest.
Holds a small token: a few spoonfuls. A personal remembrance: one for each family member, or something small to keep on a shelf or bedside table.
