Select an engraved sharing urn to create a personal memorial that is a step larger than a keepsake urn but more petite than a full size urn. Bold, attractive colors offer sharp contrast with the engraved text and detailed artwork.
Sharing urns are an option for anyone who is sharing remains amongst family or close friends. They can be used in place of a keepsake urn for a portion of the ashes. Larger than the standard keepsake size, they are able to hold much more ashes and allow for the engraving to be twice the size.
For families looking to split remains, this will hold one quarter to one fifth of the typical individual remains. We recommend at least one Individual sized urn to be used to hold additional remains.

A keepsake is pocket size, about 3 inches high. It holds a small token: a few spoonfuls. A personal remembrance for each family member, or something small for a shelf or bedside table. A sharing urn is larger: a real home-display piece with more room for names, dates, and artwork you can actually read more easily. They are two sizes, not two names for the same urn.

A meaningful portion, measured in cups, not all of an adult’s remains. Each sharing urn lists its max size in the product description. If you are choosing one urn for one person, that is an individual urn (full size, about 10 inches high). If you only need a small token, that is a keepsake.

Yes. A common plan is one individual urn, a sharing urn for the household that wants a piece on the shelf, and keepsakes for everyone who wants a small remembrance. The funeral home will divide and transfer the ashes if you would rather not do it yourself. If you are unsure which mix fits your family, contact us. We do this with families every day.

Truly I was disappointed. Cause the urn was not a full size. The inscription was intact so that’s what made me keep it , that was lovely. But the urn it self was much smaller then I imagined.
