It's really a handsome dark gray. It looks great in living room next our family pictures, the engraving is amazing.

Definitely dark grey the inside is painted black.

My mother passed away on a Monday, I had her remains sent to the funeral home on that Wednesday. I ordered my urn after looking at at least 10 different places from Green Meadows. It was a beautiful elephant engraved urn and arrived before my mother was cremated and returned to me. I ordered her urn late Wednesday evening thinking it would not arrive until a week or two later as most other places were stating it would take at least 3 to 4 weeks. The urn was delivered that Friday not even 48 hours after I placed my order, I had her beautiful resting place and it was exactly what I ordered. My mother loved elephants and her urn is engraved with a beautiful elephant.
