Winds of Heaven Urns

The Winds of Heaven collection is for the person the family still talks to, whether by an open window or a word spoken on the porch. These aluminum urns, available in painted finishes or hand-applied enamel with silver bands, come in full-size and sharing sizes.

Each piece features a sentence spoken directly to the loved one, a wish that the wind carries your love and longing to them. We can also engrave a name and dates into the surface as a two-tone addition. It is a way to send word where a letter cannot go.

Wind has long served as a messenger. It is the air that moves the curtains in the morning, the breeze across a porch, or the movement of sheets on a line. It is a quiet presence that carries things from one place to another.

For this family, the person is still part of those daily movements. The family speaks to them when the window is open or when they sit outside, keeping the conversation going even when the room is still. They choose these pieces because there is still so much they want the person to hear, and they want it to arrive with a gentle touch.

The words on the urn are not a description of the person but a direct address to them. Rather than a statement of fact, the inscription is a wish. Heaven is the speaker's word for where the message goes.

This is how the family says how much the person is loved, how much they are missed, and how much the family longs to have them back. These are the words a family wants to say in a last conversation, whether or not they got to have one.

The aluminum urn comes in a range of painted colors or in an enamel finish with hand-detailed silver bands. The sentence itself is part of the piece, a permanent wish meant to be carried on the air.

Families may choose a full-size urn to hold the entire remains of an adult, or a sharing urn if they wish to keep a portion for more than one person. To make the piece even more personal, the name and dates can be cut into the surface in two-tone lettering, beside the sentence.

If they were someone who lived within the quiet rhythms of a morning or the steady presence of an afternoon on the porch, then this design will read as theirs. The family will recognize the intent behind the words, a wish that what is left unsaid might arrive gently.

When they look at this design, the family may picture them there, caught in the soft breeze by an open window.

Choosing the right size

Every design comes in the same three sizes. Here's how families use each one.

Individual

Full size · Approx. 10" high

Holds all of an adult's remains, the same full-size memorial a funeral home provides. Choosing one urn for one person? This is the one.

Sharing

Mid size · Approx. 6" high

Holds a meaningful portion of the remains, measured in cups, not all of them. Choose this when dividing ashes between households, or keeping some close after scattering the rest.

Keepsake

Pocket size · Approx. 3" high

Holds a small token: a few spoonfuls. A personal remembrance: one for each family member, or something small to keep on a shelf or bedside table.
