Rose Urns

In our cultural imagination, roses are symbolic of the deepest love. Their graceful appearance and heady scent combine in an object of true beauty. Yet their accompanying thorns remind us that there is no love without pain. Rose urns are the perfect choice to memorialize our most cherished loved ones.

Carefully Tended

Roses must be tended with care. They should be planted in fertile soil with plenty of room for their roots to grow. Timely fertilization and regular watering are required to keep their stems strong and their leaves lush. At the same time, you must guard them against pests, funguses, and disease. Though this all sounds like a lot of work, the payoff is worth it.

The same thing is true in our most important relationships. Friendships, partnerships, and marriages do not flourish by themselves. Healthy ones require constant tending. Anyone who has invested themselves in cultivating a healthy, life-long relationship can attest to this fact. They will also tell you that all the time and energy is worth it. A memorial rose urn can elegantly represent all the years of careful tending you've invested in your dearly departed loved one.

Ever Blooming

Roses tend to bloom in the summer and fall, and any experienced gardener would tell you that they bloom in cycles.

The weeks between the time you cut the rose and the time it blooms again constitutes one bloom cycle.  Generally roses bloom in 6 to 8 week cycles, and a few require even less time. (SCVRS)

Just like roses, many of our most important relationships are often cyclical. Our love for each other blossomed in regular patterns throughout the seasons of our lives.

Even with friends and relatives we've known our whole lives, there were times when we were more connected than others. There were seasons when we lived close to one another saw each other every day; and then there were seasons when we lived far apart and could only catch up once a year. But every time we were together, it felt as if no time had passed. Our love bloomed more beautifully than ever.

A rose urn is a perfect way to memorialize an important relationship that, though now the person has departed from this life, will always be blooming in your heart.

Love and Pain

There is no rose without a thorn. Some thorns grow to simply massive proportions, and others are merely small, prickly annoyances. A prick from a rose thorn can make you wince, draw blood, and leave a lasting memory that care is required when handling these beautiful flowers.

Despite this, thorns are helpful reminders that there is no beauty without a struggle. There is also no love without the possibility of pain. Just as we shouldn't avoid roses just because there are thorns, we can't avoid loving people just because we may get hurt. This is especially important to remember during the cycle of grief. Though the pain your facing may prompt you to close your heart off so that you'll never be hurt again, doing so would be closing yourself off from experiencing true love and beauty.

A beautiful rose urn will stand as an important reminder that though it does bring pain, love is always worth the risk.

Grief and Remembrance

As with the rose, the memory of your lost loved one will always bring both joy and tears. Choosing a beautiful rose urn as their final resting place is a wonderful, symbolic way to acknowledge that dynamic. Whenever you look at it, you can savor the lingering aroma of the good times you spent together.
