Pet Paw Print Urns

These pet paw print urns are made for the animal and the family that still finds paw prints in the garden or on the kitchen floor. Whether featuring a single print or a trail of prints, the design is universal to any breed or species. A name and dates can be engraved directly into the surface in a two-tone engraving, offered as an option. Most of these urns are cast aluminum in a painted finish in a range of colors, and sizes run from a keepsake size to an extra-large size for a pet up to 200 pounds.

A paw print is the most direct reminder there is, exactly the size and shape of the animal that made it. Many families keep a version of one tucked away, like a clay print from a vet or an inked impression on a card. Some remember the muddy prints left on a kitchen tile that stayed for a day too long. A trail of prints can follow a pet across a page the same way they followed their family around the house and out through the door.

This collection is intended for the household that still finds traces of those footsteps. It is for the person who walked the same path every single day and wants a simple, steady mark of the animal they loved.

The designs are universal, containing no specific breed or species so that they may suit any companion. Most of these urns are cast aluminum with a painted finish in a range of colors. The keepsake, small and extra-large sizes are also offered in a hand-applied enamel finish with hand-detailed silver bands. The aluminum urns share a threaded screw-top lid and a felt base. It also suits a household that has had more than one kind of animal.

The collection comes in a small size for a pet up to 40 pounds, a large size for a pet up to 120 pounds, and an extra-large size for a pet up to 200 pounds. Each is made to hold the full remains of a pet. We also offer a keepsake size for those who wish to hold a small portion. The collection also includes a Signature Wood urn in the extra-large size, made in the USA from solid walnut hardwood and sealed with a natural finish. It loads from the bottom through a base plate held by four screws.

Engraving is offered as an option on every urn. The name and dates are cut into the metal or the wood, so they become part of the piece.

If the pet walked the same path with you every day, then this paw print will read as theirs. Families choose this design because the plainest mark of the pet is the one they remember best, and because the trail stopped too soon. You may find yourself picturing the path you walked together.

Choosing the right size

Every design comes in the same three sizes. Here's how families use each one.

Individual

Full size · Approx. 10" high

Holds all of an adult's remains, the same full-size memorial a funeral home provides. Choosing one urn for one person? This is the one.

Sharing

Mid size · Approx. 6" high

Holds a meaningful portion of the remains, measured in cups, not all of them. Choose this when dividing ashes between households, or keeping some close after scattering the rest.

Keepsake

Pocket size · Approx. 3" high

Holds a small token: a few spoonfuls. A personal remembrance: one for each family member, or something small to keep on a shelf or bedside table.
