Paw Print Heart Pet Urns

Our paw print heart urns are made for the pet and the family that still sees small prints on the floor or feels the habits that remain. This collection features cast aluminum in painted or enamel finishes, as well as Signature Wood urns in solid walnut or alder in the extra-large size.

A name and dates can be engraved directly into the surface in a two-tone engraving, offered as an option. The design is an engraved paw print heart, one that suits a cat, a dog or any other pet equally.

A pet leaves a specific kind of map throughout a home. It is found in the muddy prints on the kitchen floor, the nose prints left on a window, or the pet-shaped dent in the couch cushion. Even when the house grows quiet, these habits remain, from the empty bowl to the spot by the door where they once waited.

You may still find yourself looking for them in those familiar spaces. Perhaps you keep a clay impression or an inked print from the vet in a drawer, something small to hold onto. This collection is intended for that household, for the person who was followed from room to room and who wants a quiet way to keep a reminder within reach.

The paw print heart is a symbol that can be read at a glance, representing the shape a pet leaves behind. Most of these pieces are crafted from cast aluminum with a painted finish, while the small and extra-large sizes are also offered in a hand-applied enamel finish with hand-detailed silver bands. For those who prefer wood, the Signature Wood urns are made in the USA in the extra-large size, in solid walnut or alder hardwood sealed with a natural finish.

The small size is for a pet up to 40 pounds, the large size for a pet up to 120 pounds, and the extra-large size for a pet up to 200 pounds, and all three are made to hold the full remains of a pet. The keepsake size holds a small portion.

Engraving is offered as an option on every urn in the collection, aluminum and Signature Wood alike. The name and dates are cut directly into the surface, so they become part of the piece.

If they were the one who left prints and smudges around the house, then this paw print heart will read as theirs. Families choose this design because the pet left a mark on every room of the house, and because it still feels like it should be walking in. You may find yourself picturing the hour they always asked for dinner.

Choosing the right size

Every design comes in the same three sizes. Here's how families use each one.

Individual

Full size · Approx. 10" high

Holds all of an adult's remains, the same full-size memorial a funeral home provides. Choosing one urn for one person? This is the one.

Sharing

Mid size · Approx. 6" high

Holds a meaningful portion of the remains, measured in cups, not all of them. Choose this when dividing ashes between households, or keeping some close after scattering the rest.

Keepsake

Pocket size · Approx. 3" high

Holds a small token: a few spoonfuls. A personal remembrance: one for each family member, or something small to keep on a shelf or bedside table.
