Loved Beyond Words Urns
Our loved beyond words urns are for the person whose family expressed love through what was done rather than what was said. These aluminum pieces feature a design with two halves, acknowledging a love reaching beyond words and a loss that cannot be added up.
Available in painted or hand-applied enamel finishes in both full-size and sharing sizes, each urn can be engraved with a two-tone name and dates. In this family, love showed up as a short phone call and a long hug at the door.
Some families do not rely on grand speeches to show how they feel. Instead, love is found in the small, steady rhythms of a life shared together. This collection is for the person who got a short phone call and a long hug at the door. They were loved in the quiet ways that do not require an audience, through the packed lunches and the early morning rides, or a phone call that was mostly about the weather.
The design features a single line split into two parts, acknowledging that the experience of loss has two distinct sides. One half speaks to a devotion that words could never quite capture, and the other speaks to a void that no amount of counting could ever fill. It is a short, simple line for someone who lived a plain and quiet life, finally saying out loud what was always understood in the home.
These aluminum pieces are crafted with a threaded screw-top lid and a felt base. They are available in a variety of painted colors or in a hand-applied enamel finish accented by hand-detailed silver bands.
The collection is offered in two sizes to suit the needs of those left behind. A full-size urn is made to hold the entire remains of an adult, while a sharing urn is designed to hold a portion of the remains so that more than one person can keep a piece with them. This allows a family to decide how they wish to keep their loved one close, whether by keeping them whole in one place or by distributing their presence among many.
We can engrave a name and dates directly into the surface of the urn using a two-tone technique. The name and dates are cut into the metal in two-tone lettering, beside the line.
If the person you remember lived through steady, small rhythms and a quiet devotion, then this design will read as theirs. Anyone who was ever on the other end of that short phone call will recognize the two halves of the line. The family chooses this design because they never found the right words to say it all, and because the missing has never been something they could add up.
You might picture them on a five a.m. drive, or on a phone call about the weather.
