Keep the Light On Urns
The Keep the Light On collection is for the person who was the one everyone came home to, the one who kept the porch light on so no one ever felt alone. These aluminum urns feature a poem written across the face of the vessel in the loved one's own voice, available in painted finishes or hand-applied enamel with silver bands.
Each urn can be personalized with a two-tone engraving of names and dates. Available in full-size and sharing sizes, these pieces are for the person who stayed up until everyone was safely home.
The light was often a habit. It was the lamp left in the window for a teenager running late, the hall light left on for a child who feared the dark, or the porch light that signaled someone was still awake.
You may remember them staying up until the last car was in the drive. They never told anyone to go to bed, instead, they waited until everyone was inside, turning the lights off one by one only when they knew you were safe.
The design is centered around a poem spoken in the person's own voice. It runs across the face of the urn, asking those left behind not to sit in the dark, to be glad of the years they shared, and to remember that they are never truly alone. The inscription ends with the image of a light left on until the family returns home.
This collection is for those who find the house a little darker now that they are gone. You might choose these poem urns because the words sound exactly like what they would have said, the last thing they would have said to you.
These aluminum urns are crafted with a threaded screw-top lid and a felt base. You can select a variety of painted colors or a hand-applied enamel finish that features hand-detailed silver bands.
Choose a full-size urn to hold the entire remains of an adult, or a sharing urn to hold a portion so more than one person can keep some. You may choose to have the name and dates engraved directly into the surface in two-tone lettering, beside the poem.
If the person you are remembering kept the lamp lit for those returning late or waited for the final car to pull in, then this design will read as theirs. Anyone who was ever waited up for will recognize it.
The design recalls the person who made sure the house was never empty of light. You might see a lamp burning in the window or a porch light staying on all night.
