Heart Is In Heaven Urns

The Heart Is In Heaven collection is for the parent, spouse, or child who feels their loss as a physical split, as if a part of themselves has gone to heaven with the person they lost. These aluminum urns are available in painted finishes or hand-applied enamel with silver bands, and come in both full-size and sharing sizes.

We offer the option of a two-tone engraving of a name and dates directly onto the surface.

The loss of someone so close often manifests in the body, felt as a heaviness in the chest or a quiet gap where they used to be. This collection is meant for those who experience their grief as a physical separation, such as a parent mourning a child or a spouse remembering a partner of many decades.

You may find that your grief does not feel like a broken heart, but rather like a piece of yourself has simply gone missing.

The design features a single line of text across the metal, using the speaker's own language. It describes the person as an angel and heaven as their place, the way a family might speak of these things at a kitchen table. The line measures grief the way people actually describe it, as a part gone missing.

The other half stays with the living. The family still has to get up, do the school run, and go to work carrying the half that is left.

These pieces are crafted from aluminum and come in various painted colors or a hand-applied enamel finish accented with silver bands. Each urn is finished with a felt base and a threaded screw-top lid.

Whether you require a full-size urn to hold the entire remains of an adult or a sharing urn so that several family members can keep a portion, the collection comes in both sizes, so a family can choose one piece or several.

Beside the inscribed line, we can engrave the name and dates in two-tone lettering.

If the person you remember left a quiet gap behind, then this design will read as theirs. Anyone who has felt a part of themselves go missing will recognize the line.

You might think of the kitchen table, where a family talks about where the person has gone.

Choosing the right size

Every design comes in the same three sizes. Here's how families use each one.

Individual

Full size · Approx. 10" high

Holds all of an adult's remains, the same full-size memorial a funeral home provides. Choosing one urn for one person? This is the one.

Sharing

Mid size · Approx. 6" high

Holds a meaningful portion of the remains, measured in cups, not all of them. Choose this when dividing ashes between households, or keeping some close after scattering the rest.

Keepsake

Pocket size · Approx. 3" high

Holds a small token: a few spoonfuls. A personal remembrance: one for each family member, or something small to keep on a shelf or bedside table.
