Car Cremation Urns

Car Urns

This collection is for the restorer who spent years in a garage, the muscle car owner who embraced the noise, and the driver who kept a car running well for decades. These urns are available in cast aluminum with various finishes or in Signature wood, featuring engraved designs like roadsters, muscle cars, and checkered flags. We offer two-tone engraving of names and dates on our aluminum and wood pieces. Available in full-size, sharing, and keepsake sizes, these urns honor the cars that were a part of every day.

A restoration is a commitment measured in years rather than months. It requires many evenings and weekends spent with hands on every component, ensuring a machine that once did not run is made whole again. For those who lived this way, the garage was more than a workspace, it was where they gave their time and attention to something they loved.

Some vehicles are never meant to be quiet. A muscle car announces itself to the neighborhood, its sound a reliable signal of someone returning home. Similarly, following the racing season provides a way to track the passing of time, where decades are marked by the turn of the seasons and the familiar names of the drivers. You might find that the sound of an engine arriving is one of the things you miss most.

There is a quiet dignity in a vehicle that is simply kept right. For many, it meant a car driven every day for twenty years, washed on a schedule and serviced before any trouble arose, until it could be handed down still running. They held a personal conviction toward reliability and the care of their possessions.

Our aluminum pieces are cast and available in a variety of painted finishes or a hand-applied enamel with silver bands. Each features a threaded screw-top lid and a felt base. You can choose from a wide range of engraved designs, including a roadster, a convertible, a 1970s muscle car, or a winged wheel. For those who prefer wood, our Signature line is made in the USA from walnut or alder, with the artwork engraved directly into the surface.

To make the piece more personal, we offer two-tone engraving of a name and dates on both the aluminum and wood selections. Whether you choose a full-size urn, a sharing urn, or a keepsake urn, the engraving is cut into the surface.

The American road trip gained its own highway on November 11, 1926, when Route 66 was established, running 2,448 miles from Chicago to Santa Monica through eight states. Steinbeck called it the Mother Road in 1939, and Bobby Troup put it to music in 1946. After fifty-nine years, the road was taken off the highway system on June 26, 1985, by which time interstates had gone around most of the towns on it.

For a family, the design on the urn is the car the person is pictured in, and everywhere they took it.

If the person you remember lived with unfailing attention and a deep sense of reliability, then this design will read as theirs. A family might choose these pieces because they see that person in every line of the car, or because the sound of an engine arriving is a memory they still hold close.

The family pictures them at the wheel, the sound of the engine a familiar rhythm in the driveway.

Can't find the right one?

Search by a theme, hobby, or interest, or a size like keepsake, sharing, or individual. We'll help you find the right one.

Choosing the right size

Every design comes in the same three sizes. Here's how families use each one.

Individual

Full size · Approx. 10" high

Holds all of an adult's remains, the same full-size memorial a funeral home provides. Choosing one urn for one person? This is the one.

Sharing

Mid size · Approx. 6" high

Holds a meaningful portion of the remains, measured in cups, not all of them. Choose this when dividing ashes between households, or keeping some close after scattering the rest.

Keepsake

Pocket size · Approx. 3" high

Holds a small token: a few spoonfuls. A personal remembrance: one for each family member, or something small to keep on a shelf or bedside table.
