The Small Size Odyssey Pet Urn is suitable for pets that were less than forty pounds in life. The front and back of the urn are engravable with easy to read custom text. The top of the urn is where we feature nine optional and original artwork choices to create a truly unique for your beloved pet.
Chosen for it's wide mouth that makes it easy to place remains into, the lid for this urn is also the easiest to remove and screw securely back on. This attractive urn stands approximately four inches tall and five inches wide. On the bottom of the urn you will find a felt covering to ensure that display surfaces are safe.

Traci, thank you for the excellent question. The lid of this urn screws off. This reveals the wide opening on the top of the urn. After placing the remains inside the urn the lid securely tightens closed again.
It was easy for me. I unscrewed the lid and was able to carefully place my little Mini Schnauzer, Rocko, in the urn. Put the lid back on without drama. Took a couple trys to line the threads up. What I really appreciated is that the artwork was aligned with the front of the urn. That was a nice touch.
